BIOGRAPHY
Alfred Louis Jacomin was born in 1842 in Paris. He was a painter and watercolorist of genre scenes and landscapes. He began his studies with his father, Jean-Marie Jacomin, then going on to study at the Académie Suisse and the École des Beaux-Arts. He had his first showing in 1864, with a piece called Hamlet. In addition he made numerous watercolors. He exhibited at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français from 1867 and became a member in 1883. He showed his work and was given medals in London, Philadelphia, Barcelona and Lyons.
