BIOGRAPHY
Walter Stuart Lloyd was a painter of landscapes and marines who was based in Brighton and painted primarily coastal views along the south coast of England, but also traveled and painted in the Continent. He exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy from 1875 onwards, at the Grosvenor Gallery, and at the Royal Society of British Artists where he was elected a member in 1879, and where Noss, Devon was one of three works Lloyd exhibited in 1893.
