SIDNEY RICHARD PERCY PAINTINGS FOR SALE & BIOGRAPHY

SIDNEY RICHARD PERCY

British, 1821–1886

BIOGRAPHY
Percy was a landscape painter. Although he was a member of the Williams family (Boddington, Gilbert, and Adams), he used the name Percy to distinguish himself from them. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1842–1886 at the British Institution, and at Suffolk Street with the Royal British Academy. He painted in Devon, Yorkshire, the Lake District, and Skye, but mostly in Northern Wales. His studio sale was held at Christie’s on November 27, 1886.
