SIDNEY RICHARD PERCY

BIOGRAPHY
Percy was a landscape painter. Although he was a member of the Williams family (Boddington, Gilbert, and Adams), he used the name Percy to distinguish himself from them. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1842–1886, at the British Institution, and the Royal Society of British Artists. He painted in Devon, Yorkshire, the Lake District, and Skye, but mostly in Northern Wales. His studio sale was held at Christie’s on November 27, 1886.
