BIOGRAPHY
Ernesto Valls was strongly influenced by the works of Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida and shared with that eminent Spanish impressionist a predilection for coastal and harbor subjects and a brilliant capability for capturing the distinct light of the Spanish coast.  A retrospective exhibition of the artist's work titled Ernesto Valls - La Luz del Mediterráneo was held at the Zurbarán Gallería in Buenos Aires in 1991.
